With the magic of 4G and a summer house at the end of the garden, I have been able to scrape together enough bandwidth to stream again.
This requires a bit of setup. Long power cables need to be laid out and rolled up again for every stream. Setting up the 4G ‘antenna’ (a dongle on the end of a long stick), unfolding a portable table, unpacking the laptop and plugging in keyboard and mouse, sorting out the microphone and stand, placing the portable light, and getting the chat on my phone somewhere that I can see it. This takes a lot more planning and effort than my old set up (just sit down and stream) and may not be possible if it is raining heavily.
Partial service has resumed
As I can only stream with a laptop and have only one screen to work with, there will be some limitations to what I can do and have had to reduce the stream quality to 720p.
My ability to run stream games will be limited but Duck races will always be possible, so don’t worry about that!
Work on Duck Race 2.0 has been suspended, for now. I will be working on some smaller, easier projects that can be completed in only a few streams.
More stable situation on the horizon
It looks like I have a new house sorted out and should be more settled soon. Hopefully, with a return to proper internet!
The actual timescale for when this will happen is uncertain. It could be within a week or a month or more, I have no idea. As frustrating as that is, the fact that it will happen at some point and that I can stream in the meantime is a relief.
Thank you all for your patience and support.
